Through her tears, a little girl asked,"Where did Patch go?" She had just lost her beloved puppy. What could I say? "All good dogs go to Heaven," I said, remembering my own lost friend, Woofer. Could I imagine a Heaven without pets? I know of no orthodox faith that has addressed the problem of the loss of a faithful animal companion. I only know that Patch and Woofer were good dogs. They lived a Heaven on Earth with us while they were here. They gave us joy. I like to believe there's a place in Heaven for all Good Dogs. Even if it's just a corner. Story on back. |
